| Above are pictures of wife Rosemary, Fritzl, and the dungeon where he imprisoned Elizabeth and her children.... He was a model citizen, businessman, loving husband, and father, or was he? In april of 2008, his double life came to surface, when his daughter Kirsten was admitted to a hospital with a life threatening illness. But Kirsten was a part of his bizarre secret....for 24 years, he held his daughter Elizabeth in a dungeon, which he planned and created by himself....there he raped, and tortured his daughter all those years, as she bore him 7 children, one which died a short time after birth, so he burned the body in an incinerator. Three of the children, he took above to live with him and his wife Rosemary. He told his wife that their daughter Elizabeth ran away and joined a cult, and brought the children and left them there on the doorstep with a note, saying she couldn't take care of them....he also has a total of 7 other children with his wife Rosemary.... The following is a timeline of the events, leading up to the discovery of his hidden family. 1977: Josef Fritzl allegedly begins abusing his 11-year-old daughter Elisabeth. Aug 28, 1984: Elisabeth apparently drugged and taken to cellar beneath family home. Sep 1984: Elisabeth is forced to write letter telling her parents to stop looking for her. Mr Fritzl tells family his daughter has joined a cult. 1988: First child, Kerstin, secretly born in cellar. 1989: Stefan born in cellar. May 1993: Nine-month-old Lisa is “left” on doorstep with note asking Josef Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie to look after her. Dec 1994: Ten-month-old Monika also left on doorstep with note which Mr Fritzl had forced Elisabeth to write. May 1996: Twins are born but one dies days later. Its body is allegedly burned by Mr Fritzl. Surviving twin, Alexander, is kept in cellar until 1997 when he, too, is moved to the family home. 2003: Elisabeth is made to write a letter to her family saying she has had another son, Felix, who was born in 2002. He is kept in the cellar. April 19, 2008: Kerstin is taken seriously ill and Mr Fritzl is forced to free her from the cellar for the first time to take her to hospital. After doctors appeal for her mother to come forward to help discover the cause of her mystery illness, Mr Fritzl frees Elisabeth, Stefan and Felix, claiming she has decided to “come home”. April 26: After Elisabeth tells police of her ordeal, her father is arrested. April 28: Josef Fritzl confesses to imprisoning his daughter and fathering all of her children. Now latest press releases have said there's a possibility of over 3,000 charges against him...now note, he is in a warm cozy prison cell, with lights, a warm bed, and all the comforts of home, while his family was kept in a dark dungeon all those years. He is a calculating man....showing signs of mental illness, (aspergers syndrome). These types do become violent when cornered, as daughter Elizabeth said in a recent interview, whenever she or the children stood up to him.... The court appointed psychiatrist states he was sane when he imprisoned and impregnated his daughter....he blames his sickness as some have called it on his mother, saying she abused him as a child. He also claims he was born to rape, such as a report he in previous years raped his sister in law. The Times said Fritzl, 73, hatched his plan to imprison his daughter Elisabeth in the late 1960s, while he was serving an 18-month jail term for the brutal rape of a woman at knifepoint in her home. According to Austrian law, he can't be charged with multiple crimes, so the courts are going after him with the most serious offenses... |

| This man is the lowest of lows....so calculating it's rotten....and to think a while back when this first happened those stupid women from around the world sent him fan mail, supporting what he did. For those who don't know, some women went so far as to say he wanted to teach his daughter the joys of motherhood....I also say that that wife of his knew about it, there's no way she couldn't.... | Subject: Josef Fritzl admits locking mother in bricked-up room at dungeon house Wed Oct 29, 2008 9:28 pm | |
| That sick psycho is speaking out again...he is demented....why bother with a trial? He shouldn't be allowed to even see daylight... Read the following...JillJosef Fritzl has admitted locking his own mother in a bricked-up room until her death, in the same house where he later incarcerated his daughter and grandchildren. The Austrian made the extraordinary revelation to a psychologist preparing a report on his mental state in advance of his trial for imprisoning and sexually abusing his daughter Elisabeth. His mother could have been locked away for more than 20 years in the house in Amstetten, according to an Austrian tabloid. "I locked her up in a room at the top of the house. I then bricked in the window so that she never again saw the light of day," Fritzl said in the leaked psychologist's report. Fritzl told neighbours that his mother died around the time he took ownership of her home in 1959, but the Oesterreich newspaper claims she did not die until 1980, suggesting that she could have spent 21 years in the locked bedroom. Fritzl's friends have expressed doubt that he could have kept her hidden in the house for so long. The 73-year-old told the psychologist that he wanted to punish his mother for his loveless, brutal childhood. "She used to beat me, hit me until I was lying in a pool of blood on the floor. It left me feeling totally humiliated and weak," he said. "My mother was a servant and she used to work hard all her life, I never had a kiss from her, I was never cuddled although I wanted it - I wanted that she would be good to me. But the only thing she ever did with me was to go to the church." Asked if this had given him the idea for locking up Elisabeth, he said: "To be honest I just didn't think about it, about her being my daughter, I saw her as my wife and as my partner." The revelations are contained in a 130-page report compiled during six interview sessions by Dr Adelheid Kastner of the Wagner-Jauregg mental asylum in Linz. Fritzl also told the psychologist that he was "born to be a rapist". Dr Kastner has advised that he is not insane, but is a danger to the public and should never be released from prison. Fritzl's trial for imprisoning his daughter in a purpose-built dungeon beneath his home for 24 years, and forcing her to bear seven of his children, one of whom died, is due to begin in February. He has confessed to the crime, but the charges have yet to be finalised. |

 | Subject: Austrian Josef Fritzl to be formally charged Fri Nov 07, 2008 1:25 pm | |
| Josef Fritzl, who locked his daughter in a cellar for 24 years, is expected to be formally charged on Friday after being declared medically fit to stand trial. There is speculation that he may be accused of murder as well as kidnapping, rape and incest because one of the children died soon after birth and was burnt in an incinerator. It is thought the murder charge could be brought because Fritzl denied the child proper medical care. Although he will find out what crimes he faces by the end of the week, they will not be made public until November 14. The only charge Fritzl is certain to face is incarceration, for having kept his daughter and their children in the dank cellar, an offence that can only be sentenced with 10 years in prison in Austria. The Austrian penal code does not allow for consecutive sentences, which means Fritzl will serve only the period for the offence that carries the longest. Michelle |

| I do have an update...seems like he will be tried for murder...you know, it does make you wonder if he killed that baby, or if it died at birth....there was no medical facilities in that dungeon...
FaithAustrian Josef Fritzl, who imprisoned his daughter in a cellar for 24 years and fathered seven children by her, has been charged with the murder of one of their children who died shortly after birth. Prosecutors said on Thursday they had also charged Fritzl, 73, with rape, enslavement, incest, coercion and deprivation of liberty. He has two weeks to appeal and does not need to enter a plea immediately |

| In the old ndi it was said (byhexie) that he shows all the symptoms of an aspie but the authorities seem to have ignored that......... just a well, as this might be misused as 'defence' by the do-gooders. It reflects in his 'hateful revenge on his mother' and the control mania oveer his daughter. AN EVIL MAN! Caro Under Austrian law, a murder charge can be brought if the child was denied proper medical care. Austrian law does not allow for consecutive sentences so Fritzl would only serve the period for the offence that carries the longest. The trial is expected to start early next year. Psychiatrists have ruled that Fritzl is mentally stable and fit to stand trial for his crimes. Dr Adelheid Kastner, the psychiatrist who has assessed Fritzl, described him as cold-blooded and calculating. In her report, she wrote: "His narcissism combines with the lack of empathy and contributes to the exploitative way of turning others into instruments of satisfying his own needs. "There is also a noticeable ability or tendency to 'modify' reality according to his wishes." |

| This guy's mind is forever calculating his next move.
GraceFritzl, 73, wanted to charge visitors to enter his former home in the town of Amstetten in a bid to raise money for his traumatised family. His sister-in-law, named only as Christine R, revealed his plans in an interview with the Austrian tabloid Oesterreich on Saturday. She said: "He actually wanted to make a tourist attraction out of his house with the dungeon where he kept Elisabeth, and charge ten euros for entrance. "It is completely mad. The family was supposed to get the proceeds, but, naturally, all of them rejected his 'business' proposal." |

 | Subject: Fritzl 'wants to become a Buddhist' Fri Nov 28, 2008 11:22 am | |
| As if this will erase what he's done....the nut
JanetDungeon Dad Josef Fritzl has turned to Buddhism in a bid for rehabilitation, according to reports. He has also asked doctors to cure him so he can be reunited with his wife Rosemarie. According to reports, Fritzl spends much of his time in his cell studying Buddhist philosophy and is considering changing his religion officially in prison. Fritzl has asked doctors to cure him in the belief he can begin a new life with his family. He said: "I realise now that I am not normal, and I see that somebody who did what I did cannot be regarded as normal. "With the help of therapists I want to know what the real reasons are for why I behaved like I did and I want to get treatment, I want to be healthy again at some point," he told his lawyer. |

 | Subject: Josef Fritzl's trial delayed because officials can not find willing jurors Sun Dec 21, 2008 11:39 am | |
| There's been too much press coverage, and no one wants to even hear his side, they know what he did was horrendous.
FaithAustrian authorities have been forced to delay the trial of Josef Fritzl, who locked his daughter in a cellar for 24 years and fathered her seven children, because court officials can not find jurors willing to hear the details of his crimes, it has emerged. Under Austrian law, the trial needs eight jurors and two substitutes on standby before it can go ahead at Sankt Poelten court. However, every juror approached so far has used a legal loophole to escape jury service by claiming they have family commitments, according to a report in the daily newspaper Heute. |

| This guy is really sick and demented, but at the same time, calculating....he's continually plotting...
TonyAUSTRIAN incest suspect Josef Fritzl has reportedly tried to sell his police interrogation transcripts to British tabloid newspapers. According to the German magazine Stern, Josef Fritzl reportedly wanted money to be able to pay off his 3.5 million euros ($7.1 million) of debt, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) has reported. He has tried to negotiate with the British media through an intermediary, but no deal was made in the end. There are no laws preventing Mr Fritzl from selling the document, the prosecution's spokesman Gerhard Sedlacek said. It was revealed earlier this year that Mr Fritzl indicated he had plans to profit from the alleged crimes by selling his memoirs to the highest bidder. At the time, Elisabeth’s lawyer Eva Plaz said: “It has been bad enough with all the leaks from the doctors and police sources about Elisabeth. But that her father, who caused all her suffering, means to cash in on her ordeal is sickening”. A source told British tabloid The Sun: “He is a monster trying to present a human face, but it will be at the cost to her fragile psyche. He knows that his story is worth a lot because Elisabeth has made it clear that she does not want to sell her story. " According to The Sun, Josef Fritzl is too afraid to leave his prison cell because of death threats and violence against him by the other prisoners. Fellow inmates bang on the cell walls at night and shout: "Come on out Satan - we want to play." |

| Now who pays for all of this? The taxpayers?
SairaVIENNA, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- The Austrian woman imprisoned and raped repeatedly her father over a 24-year period left a clinic with her children, and moved to a new home, her attorney said. Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, had been living in the clinic with her six children fathered by her father, Josef Fritzl, since leaving the cellar where she was kept prisoner for 24 years, The Daily Telegraph reported Tuesday. |

| Now the media wants to make money. Eileen Vienna - A Vienna theatre artist announced details on Monday of an upcoming production centred on the case of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian who imprisoned and raped his daughter over 24 years. Hubsi Kramar said he wanted to offer a satirical critique of Austrian society in the piece, calling it a "cellar soap opera" and showing "everything you ever wanted to know about the Fritzls". "You can't go any lower," Kramar said on his homepage of the satirical play entitled Guesthouse Fritzl, which will run in Vienna's 3raum-anatomietheater from February 23. The play would not exploit the Fritzl case, said the theatre's publicist Gabriele Mueller-Klomfar, but would "criticise a society in which something like this is possible". The production is planned to run parallel to Josef Fritzl's trial, due to start in March. Characters include not only Fritzl and his family members, but also a "Fritzlstein monster". Enfant terrible image With Guesthouse Fritzl, Kramar stays true to his image as enfant terrible of Vienna's theatre scene. After the right-wing Freedom Party joined Austria's government in 2000, he visited Vienna's prestigious Opera Ball dressed up as Adolf Hitler. Josef Fritzl, 73, stands accused of imprisoning and raping his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, for 24 years in a basement dungeon until her ordeal ended in April 2008. Josef Fritzl is also charged with murder, as one of the seven children his daughter gave birth to in the dungeon beneath his house died shortly afterward. |

| Now this is really sick...what's wrong with people? Michelle And a controversial comedian is set to star in Pension Fritzl (Fritzl's Bed and Breakfast) at Vienna’s independent Raum-Anatomie Theatre from February 23. Austrian Hubert 'Hubsi' Kramar was once arrested when he turned up at a high society ball dressed as Adolf Hitler. The Austrian Times quoted organisers as saying the production is a satire on the Austrian society that allowed the horrific incest to take place. But friends of Fritzl's daughter Elisabeth, held captive by her father for 24 years, say the 42-year-old is shocked by the theatre's plans. "What happened to Elisabeth is no laughing matter," one family friend told the Austrian Times. "It upsets her that anyone could think what happened to her is a suitable subject for entertainment." Fritzl, 73, has been charged with murder, rape, slavery, incest, imprisonment and abuse. He faces life in prison if convicted at his trial, which is expected to take place in March this year. The abuse came to light last year when Elisabeth told police in Austria. She said her father had held her captive since 1984 in a small, soundproofed and windowless cellar in the family home in Amstetten. Fritzl apparently told neighbours she had run away and joined a cult. Elisabeth had seven children by Fritzl, one of whom he is accused of killing by failing to get medical help when the boy was born with breathing difficulties. |
